13,000 people were in attendance Thursday night to see country music’s latest hitmaker. Chris Stapleton brought his national fall tour to Austin360 Amphitheater for a night of drinking and sing alongs.
Opening for Stapleton was Honky Tonk legend Marty Stuart who brought his Hillbilly Rock and theatrics to the stage in some of the best uniforms since James Brown. The crowd was fired up and ready to bring the energy as the longtime country singer performed his classic hits.
Finally the man himself Chris Stapleton arrived on the stage opening with “Might As Well Get Stoned” from his 2015 Grammy Winning album “Traveller”. Along with his wife, singer Morgane Stapleton, and his fellow band mates, the intimate set carried through the night knowing very well everyone in the audience was sharing a moment with Chris.
Stapleton’s Fall Tour carries on through Houston and Dallas before hitting the rest of the country. You can find tickets on his website.
